Pandul was founded in 1982, after a close collaboration with Professor Jørgen Gammelgaard, which led to the development of the TipTop and VIP collections. The Pandul lamp collection was later expanded by the exclusive designs of celebrated Danish architect and furniture designer Hans J. Wegner and a series by renowned Danish designer Erik Magnussen. Now the latest addition to the collection, Pandul proudly present some of the unique designs by another world-famous Dane, Henning Koppel, trained in drawing and sculpture, but perhaps best known for his outstanding work for Georg Jensen silversmiths. The first of these lamps design by Henning Koppel is the BUBI which is now proudly presented by DOHMUS.

It is said that the unique, organic shape of the BUBI lamp was created one sunny summer day when Henning Koppel made a drawing of his very young grandson in his beautiful garden. Although the grandson's bucket hat inspired the basic shape of the new pendant lamp, it bears the unmistakable mark of several of Koppel's renowned silverware pieces for Georg Jensen.

The BUBI light presents its shape beautifully from all angles. Hang it high or low, place it on the floor, on tables or shelves; single, in pairs or groups. In all cases it gives a good anti-dazzle light and is very well suited for low energy fluorescent light bulbs.

The Pandul collection of Danish classic, modern lamps consists of some of the very best lamp designs ever made - by some of the most recognised architects and designers. Apart from its unique design qualities a true classic, modern lamp in The Pandul Collection is timeless in the sense that you can not exactly identify whether it was designed three years or three decades ago. Like much good music our classic designs have no age.
